OVERVIEW
The Lancaster LR-66 is a performance and high performance, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. Lancaster LR-66 offers 45,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.
The tire improves the all weather traction. The asymmetric tread design and the all season compound work together to increase the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping. The tread pattern improves the grip on the road surface with the optimized rubber to road contact, while the compound prevents heat build-up along the tread area with the heat-resistant rubber elements. The tread’s circumferential grooves disperse water and slush from below the footprint, optimizing the surface contact in wet conditions and preventing hydroplaning. This increases the year round performing safety.
The tread design of the model improves its controllability. The asymmetric ribbed pattern maintains the surface contact with the continuous ribs. This enhances the steering responsiveness and the driving stability while the tires are in motion. In other words, the steering is faster and more precise in its response to the drive’s commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The shoulder block placement boosts the cornering and maneuvering ability and power by providing additional biting edges while the tires are in motion. The asymmetric tread with the ideal notch placement along the ribs helps shorten the braking distance in wet and dry situations. These tread elements create friction between the tire and the road surface, significantly upgrading the braking power.
