- BD X-rip 420-denier nylon body fabric with UTS™ coating
- Welded front abrasion patch for improved protection against rock, ice and crampon spikes
- Custom metal dogbone ice tool attachment provides secure attachment for technical ice tools and mountaineering axes with micro ice-tool PickPockets™
- Front crampon pouch and a tuckaway rope strap secure gear to the outside; removable 20 mm crampon straps
- Top-loading design with a removable lid and drawcord skirt closure; the drawcord skirt provides a second defense against spindrift and light precipitation
- Strippable design: removable framesheet/bivy pad and removable hipbelt with fixed webbing belt
