OVERVIEW
The Nexen Roadian AT Pro RA8 is an all terrain, all weather tire manufactured for SUVs and light trucks. Nexen offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with the P-metric sizes and a 40,000 mile treadwear warranty with LT-sizes of this model.
The tires pattern’s micro-grooves, or siping design, increase its wet, dry and winter weather traction both on- and off-road. The tire firmly grips the road in all of these conditions. The zigzag grooves and multi-kerf design prevent dangerous hydroplaning by dispersing water from below the tire footprint. The enhanced road gripping ability and hydroplaning resistance on all road surfaces improve the year round driving safety.
The tread’s staggered center block and reinforced biting edges increase the all terrain traction. The tire is capable of conquering all soft, loose and uneven weather conditions. The model is capable of performing well both on- and off-road, making it perfect for drivers looking for versatility in their tires. The self-cleaning nature of the tread design maintains a clean footprint constantly for an enhanced road gripping ability. The tread grooves clean snow and mud and eject rocks stuck between the tread elements for an enhanced road gripping ability.
The special tread design’s wider shoulder blocks improve the tire’s driving stability and steering responsiveness even in extreme conditions. The maintained road contact stabilizes the tire against the driving forces affecting it, while the steering responsiveness is more precise and quick to respond to the driver’s commands. This enhanced handling and controllability ensure safe driving in all weather conditions.
While on road driving, the tire offers excellent comfort. The multi-sequence variable pitch tread pattern negates the road noise generated while the tire is in motion. It achieves this by creating a sound frequency that cancels out the road noise the moment it is generated. The result is a quiet and comfortable driving experience.
The Roadian AT Pro RA8 offers a longer lasting usability and tread life with the prevention of uneven wear. The optimized tread pattern evenly distributes the driving pressure across the tread area and avoids irregular wear patterns from forming along the tread. All weather tires receive the three mountain peak and snowflake (3PMS) symbol for their exceptional winter weather performance.
