OVERVIEW
The Dunlop Grandtrek AT22 is a highway terrain, all season tire made for SUVs.
The optimized tread design helps to upgrade controllability with better surface contact. The flat ribbed footprint closely follows the road throughout the drive. This effectively improves its steering responsiveness and driving stability. It results in quick and precise steering responses, as well as a secured structure. Cornering is upgraded with the shoulder ribs that provide additional biting edges. On the other hand, the ribbed pattern generates biting edges in order to shorten the overall braking distance.
The all season performance is ensured with the ideal tread design and the all season compound. The tread design and the all season compound increase the tire’s traction in dry, wet, and winter-weather conditions. In other words, the ideal tread pattern generates biting edges to increase road grip, while the silica compound keeps the rubber flexible in changing temperatures. At the same time, circumferential grooves effectively eliminate water and slush from the footprint. They resist hydroplaning and ensure the tire’s safe performance, even on wet roads.
The Dunlop Grandtrek AT22 offers fuel efficiency thanks to the fuel-saving compound and the tread design. The optimized tread pattern lowers the rolling resistance while the tires are in motion. This tread design closely follows the driving surface to reduce the energy needed to keep the tires in constant forward motion. Lowering the rolling resistance reduces fuel intake and CO2 emissions, promoting a fuel-efficient driving experience.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
