The Firestone FR740 is a performance and high performance, all season tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs that improves all weather performing capability and dry, wet and winter weather grip with its all season compound and optimal tread design. The year round compound enhances the overall rubber flexibility in various temperatures while the tread’s siping placement enhances the grip with extra biting edges, and circumferential flow-through grooves disperse water and slush from the footprint to resist hydroplaning. The tread design’s surface contact upgrades the steering responsiveness and driving stability by enhancing the steering response time and accuracy to the driver’s commands while the structure is secured against the driving pressure. Additionally, a shoulder block sequence along the tread area increases cornering capability and power, and a stronger internal structure sporting twin steel belts strengthens high speed durability to ensure the tire does not deform under high speed pressure.
