OVERVIEW
The Nokian Tyres Hakkapeliitta 10 is a touring, winter tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This model is EV-Ready, meaning these tires are compatible with both electric and traditional vehicles.
The ideal tread design and the winter compound upgrade the tire’s performance in harsh winter conditions. The ideal tread design, with the siping detail and the wide grooves, promotes great grip on ice- and snow-covered roads. These elements enable the tire to maintain consistent road contact and promote a safe performance. This tread pattern is also pinned for studs, which enables better traction on icy and snowy roads. This winter compound also keeps the rubber flexible in cold winter temperatures and does not allow the tire tread to deform in freezing conditions. Also, the tread has wide circumferential grooves, which eliminate water and slush from below the footprint and prevent hydroplaning.
Better controllability and handling are promoted. The symmetric, directional tread pattern’s solid center rib improves steering responsiveness and driving stability by maintaining constant road contact. The result is a quick and precise steering responsiveness to the driver’s instructions and enhances stability against the driving forces. The tire is more responsive to the driver’s commands, making it easier to control and handle in all weather.
The Nokian Tyres Hakkapeliitta 10’s tread design and its constant surface contact ensure a quiet performance. The passengers can enjoy high driving comfort levels by reducing road noise. Nokian’s studdable winter tires require special studs. Therefore, tire shops will not be able to install studs into Nokian tires in the US.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
