OVERVIEW
The Sumitomo HTR Z5 is a high performance, summer tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
The model offers great summer traction. This tread design and summer compound improve dry and wet grip. In this manner, the optimal tread pattern maintains road contact in dry and wet conditions, while the compound prevents heat build-up in warm temperatures. On the other hand, wide circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning, by eliminating water from the footprint in wet situations. These elements guarantee a safe summer performance.
The asymmetric tread design and its consistent road contact improve controllability. In other words, close road contact upgrades steering responsiveness and driving stability. The steering response time is faster and more precise to the driver’s commands, while the structure is secured against driving pressure. At the same time, wide shoulder blocks firmly grip the road surface and increase maneuvering. The strengthened internal structure and durable rubber compound enhance the high speed performance.
