The Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 Performance is a studless performance winter tire manufactured for SUVs.
The tire offers great winter weather traction. The special tire compound blends polymer particles and silica to increase the tire’s flexibility in colder temperatures. The high-density siping detail of the directional tread design firmly grips the road surface to boost the winter weather performing capability. The tread’s saw-shaped center tread area enhances the traction on ice and snow to guarantee a secure drive. The directional tread design helps resist hydroplaning. It channels water and slush from the footprint and boosts the driving safety. These enhancements allowed the tire to receive the three mountain peak and snowflake symbol, which is awarded to tires with excellent traction in harsh winter conditions.
The tread design’s directional pattern improves the tire’s constant road contact, which improves the tire’s controllability. It enhances the steering responsiveness and accuracy to the driver’s commands and stabilizes the structure against the driving pressure.
