The Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus is a performance and high performance, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This model has remarkable all weather traction and it grips the road surface well in all conditions. The tire is constructed using Michelin’s TriFusion Compound, which bonds three different compounds together in the tire’s tread and this provides it with its perfect all season operation. The combination of the tread design and the silica compound enhances control over the tire on wet road surfaces. This model is also hydroplaning resistant, as the high angle tread grooves on the shoulder channel water from beneath the tread and enhance safety in such situations. The tire has a precise steering responsiveness. The FAZ, or Filament at Zero degrees, Technology helps the tire maintain its shape, and it improves its ride quality and steering precision by reinforcing the tread area of the tire. The spiral-wrapped nylon or aramid reinforcing filaments are precisely placed at specific parts of the tread area, or across the entire tread, on top of the steel belts banded at zero degrees. The tire’s boosted performance and steering precision are thanks to this. The Green X Technology improves the tire’s rolling resistance. This makes the tire more cost-efficient and environmentally friendly as the vehicle’s fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are reduced. The lowered rolling resistance, along with the MaxTouch Construction Technology, enables a longer lasting tread life on the Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires. The technology equally distributes the force of acceleration, braking and cornering along the tire’s road surface contact area.
