OVERVIEW

The Hankook Kinergy GT is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.

The tire model has remarkable all weather traction thanks to the silica-based tire compound and the symmetric tread pattern that increases the all weather traction and road gripping ability. The tread pattern’s special lateral lugs, wider Kinergy circumferential grooves and step-wing shoulder design avoid hydroplaning and increase the wet weather traction by dispersing water from below the tire footprint. The tire is M+S rated for its great mud and snow traction. The winter weather traction is further improved with the lateral grooves and the equalized chamfer sipes that are capable of firmly gripping snow covered roads. This allows the tire to be safely used year round.

The tire has excellent performing abilities. The optimal tire profile design, the stiff sidewalls and the internal structure’s jointless, full cover reinforced belt and strong, jointless belt wire all work together to stabilize the tire against the driving pressure. This stability increases the tire’s uniformity under high speed driving forces and the tire maintains its optimal shape. As the tire does not deform under the high speed driving pressure, it performs to its highest capability without issue.

The model increased its steering responsiveness as well with the tread design and internal structure. The wider optimized tire footprint and the solid center rib maintain constant road contact, which allows the tire to be easily controlled by the driver. The steering responsiveness is quicker and more accurate as a result. The internal structure features a high stiffness bead filler that prevents deformation of the tire’s bead. The solid center rib and the wide steel belt inside the tire also enhance its braking ability. They create friction at the moment of braking and shorten the braking distance by stabilizing the tread area and maintaining road contact. These aspects ensure that the tire is easy to control and handle in all weather conditions.

The Kinergy GT offers a longer lasting tread life. The optimized tread block stiffness prevents the tread elements from shifting about during the drive. The internal wider steel belt maintains the optimal tire shape. These work together to prevent irregular tread wear patterns from forming

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
