OVERVIEW
The Bridgestone DriveGuard Plus is a touring, all season tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This model has some high performance sizes available as well. Bridgestone offers a 65,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.
Excellent all weather performance is promoted with this model. The special tread design and the all season compound offer great dry, wet, and winter road grip. This asymmetric tread design closely follows the road surface in any weather conditions. On the other hand, the all season compound keeps the rubber flexible in summer and winter temperatures. The model also has four wide circumferential grooves, which prevent hydroplaning. These grooves disperse water and slush from the footprint for better wet-weather traction and safer performance.
The asymmetric tread design and the close road contact boosts steering responsiveness and driving stability. The steering response becomes faster and more precise to the driver’s commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the model. At the same time, the large shoulder blocks firmly grip the road surface and upgrade cornering and maneuvering. This tread design guarantees the tire’s exceptional controllability and driving stability even at high speeds.
The construction enables the tire’s limited, temporary performance after air pressure loss occurs. When the tire pressure drops, due to a puncture or some other damage, the tire will not instantly go flat. It can be driven for 50 miles up to 50 mph, which enables its safer performance. The vehicle can arrive at a nearby location, where the damaged tire can be fixed or changed. Run-flat tires should not be mounted on the same vehicle as regular tires, because run-flat tires are heavier than regular ones.
The Bridgestone DriveGuard Plus also offers a quiet and comfortable driving experience. This tread design, its close road contact, and its special rubber compound work together to boost the passenger’s enjoyable ride. The asymmetric tread design reduces road and tread noise levels heard in the vehicle’s cabin, promoting a quiet driving experience. On the other hand, the durable rubber compound and road contact minimize vibrations felt by the passengers. Their combination offers high comfort levels during the performance.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
