OVERVIEW
The Falken BI-877 is a highway terrain all season tire manufactured to be mounted on the drive axle of commercial vehicles.
The tire provides great all weather traction. The large tread blocks and the special open shoulder tread design enhance the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability with ease. They ensure that the tire keeps its road contact at all times, to increase the road gripping capability. The wide grooves and open shoulders prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire’s footprint. The combination of the all weather traction and the hydroplaning resistance ensure a safer year round performance and driving experience.
The tread design also ensures excellent controllability. The large tread blocks maintain their road contact at all times, which enhances the steering responsiveness and driving stability. In this manner, the steering becomes quick and precise, while the tire’s structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it. The shoulder tread blocks enhance the cornering ability and power by increasing the number of biting edges that firmly grip the road surface. The upgraded controllability and maneuvering ability significantly enhance the driving security.
The BI-877 offers great durability. The tread’s curb guard on the tire’s sidewalls actively resist punctures and other damage that can harm the casing. The prevention of damage ensures a safer drive and performance. The tire’s reinforced structure also allows it to withstand and carry heavy loads. The shape does not deform under the driving pressure affecting the tires. The maintained road contact and optimal shape enhances the tire’s durability and load carrying capability.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
