OVERVIEW

The General G-MAX RS is a high performance summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.

The tire offers excellent summer weather road gripping ability in all weather conditions. The Smartgrip Technology ensures first-rate road gripping ability with the silica-rich tire compound and the directional tread pattern. The model is not meant to be used in winter weather, as the tread design will not maintain its excellent road gripping ability in colder temperatures. The circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water from below the tire footprint. The better summer weather traction and hydroplaning resistance ensure excellent driving security.

The Stabilitread Technology used in the tire’s manufacturing enhances the tire’s footprint and tread pattern stiffness. It provides a wider and larger tire footprint that has a larger road contact area and it optimizes the tread pattern’s stiffness. In this way, the tire evenly distributes the driving pressure across the tread area and prevents irregular wear patterns from forming. The longer lasting even wear, ensures an extended tire usability, making the tire more cost-efficient.

The Smartgrip Technology also stabilizes the shoulder tread blocks, which improves the tire’s handling and maneuvering. The stabilized tread blocks firmly grip the road in dry and wet weather and it improves the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The better steering ensures a quick and precise response to the driver’s commands which ensures a safer driving experience. The cornering ability was also boosted with the shoulder design as it provides additional biting edges during cornering and maneuvering situations, making the drive more secure.

The G-MAX RS was designed with the Replacement Tire Monitor system. The words “Replacement Tire Monitor” are visible on the center rib and they change with the tread wear. When the tire needs to be changes due to wear the words change to “Replace Tire”. This offers a visual notification of when the tires need to be changed to ensure maximum driving safety.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
