OVERVIEW
The Kpatos FM601 is a performance and high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This model has some touring and highway sizes available as well.
The tire promotes great summer weather traction. The asymmetric tread design and the summer compound increase the dry and wet weather gripping ability. The compound maintains its flexibility under the summer heat, but it is not suited for cold temperature weather. The tread design closely follows the road surface, boosting the grip in all summer conditions. The circumferential grooves avoid hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from beneath the tire’s footprint. The improved traction and hydroplaning resistance guarantee a safer summer weather performance.
The model’s constant road contact improves its controllability. The continuous center rib maintains its contact with the road surface at all times, which enhances the steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver’s commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The optimal shoulder tread block pattern heightens the number of biting edges that firmly grip the road surface during cornering and maneuvering. The firmer road grip during such situations ensures a secure high speed performing capability throughout the tire’s lifetime.
The FM601 offers a quiet performance. The special outer closed shoulder pattern decreases the road and tread pattern noise levels. It prevents airwaves from entering the tire’s footprint and coming into contact with the tread elements. In this manner, the road noise is not generated while the tires are in motion, which guarantees a comfortable and enjoyable driving experience.
