OVERVIEW
The Mastercraft Stratus AS is a performance all season tire manufactured for passenger and crossover vehicles and SUVs. It comes in touring sizes as well, with T speed ratings. Mastercraft offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.
The tire ensures first-rate all weather traction. The tread design and the all season compound combined boost the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The compound offers great weather flexibility and it prevents weather damage from harming the tires casing. The tread elements, with the moderate siping detail increase the grip on the road surface throughout the year, even when driving on ice and snow. The model avoids hydroplaning as its circumferential grooves eliminate water and slush from below the tires footprint. The enhanced traction and prevention of hydroplaning guarantees an exceptional year round driving safety.
The model, H and V speed rated sizes, is capable of high speed performance. The internal structure features a reinforcement, a spiral nylon overlay, on the casing, which maintains the optimal tire shape at all times. The shape does not deform under the high speed driving pressure, enabling it to perform to its best capability. The tread pattern promotes great high speed controllability. The ribbed patterns three center ribs closely follow the road surface, which improves the steering responsiveness and precision and stabilizes the structure against the diving pressure affecting it. The shoulder tread blocks upgrade the cornering and maneuvering capability. They increase the number of biting edges gripping the road surface in such situations, which provides a secure performing and maneuvering capability.
The Stratus AS has a lengthened tread life. The symmetric tread design makes rotating the tires easier. Furthermore, it manages to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking avoids uneven tread wear across the tires surface. In this manner, the model offers an extended tread life and usability.
