OVERVIEW
The Michelin Primacy LTX is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for SUVs. Michelin offers a 55,000 mile treadwear warranty with this tire model.
All weather traction is guaranteed. The stronger compound with the all season durability and the detailed sipe and groove pattern increase the year round performance. The stronger compound elements allow the tire to enhance the flexibility of the rubber materials, optimizing the summer and winter grip. The angled sipe and lateral groove placement allows the tire to increase the grip on the road surface with extra biting edges. The circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from the footprint. This further upgrades the wet weather performing ability.
The Total Performance Technology increases the tire’s controllability. This technology optimizes the footprint and the structure in order to enhance the driving durability. Their combination improves the surface contact, which boosts the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The shoulder block placement with the siping pattern allows the tire to enhance the cornering ability with the use of extra biting edges. The sipe and lateral groove details also allow the tire to upgrade the braking power, shortening the braking distance. This combination ensures the driver’s control over the vehicle.
Fuel efficiency is upgraded with the all season traction. The better traction and the constant surface contact ease the pressure off the tire, lowering the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the pressure which determines the vehicle’s fuel consumption necessary to keep the tires in motion. Decreasing the rolling resistance allows the tire to decrease the vehicle’s fuel consumption and CO2 emission levels. This results in a fuel conscious performance throughout the tires lifetime.
The special MaxTouch Construction utilizes the tire’s footprint to enhance the usability. The flat footprint and the symmetric ribbed tread design allow the tire to evenly circulate the driving pressure across the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering, and braking prevent irregular and premature wear formations. This significantly upgrades the service and tread life.
The Primacy LTX also increases the comfort levels. The Comfort Control Technology allows the computer-optimized tread design and the precision manufacturing allows the tire to lower the road noise and vibration levels. The tread design negates the sound waves generated, before they can reach the vehicle’s cabin while the tires are in motion. The tread’s close surface contact allows the tire to absorb the shock of driving, reducing the road vibrations felt by the passengers. As road disturbances do not ruin the passengers’ driving enjoyment, the tire ensures a quiet and comfortable driving experience.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
