The Nexen Winguard Winspike tire is a studdable winter tire offering excellent traction on snow and ice and long tread-life in cold winter climates. The excellent snow and ice handling and braking on snowy and icy roads is thanks to the high-density multi-sipe tread design. The sipes are reinforced to avoid excessive tread flex under torque. These reinforcements increase the treadlife of the tire. The directional tread pattern contributes to better all-road handling, cornering and traction for all-season driving while the large wide grooves enhance water drainage to prevent hydroplaning. The Nexen Winguard Winspike tire has the mountain/snowflake symbol for severe snow service.
