OVERVIEW
The Pegasus ATX 4S is an all terrain, all weather tire manufactured for light trucks and SUVs. Pegasus offers a 40,000 mile treadwear warranty for light truck sizes and a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty for SUV sizes of this model.
The silica compound blend and the stable block placement work together to enhance the tire’s dry, wet, and winter-weather grip. The all weather compound keeps the rubber pliability throughout the year, even in harsh winter conditions. The tread elements provide a firm surface grip with extra biting edges, which improve the tire’s overall performance. The four wide optimized grooves help disperse water and slush from the footprint and prevent hydroplaning.
The ideal tread design and the compound blend allow the tire to easily perform on soft, loose, and uneven terrains. The tread elements, like the aggressive pattern, staggered block pattern, and siping details, provide extra biting edges that firmly grip the driving surface. These elements enable the tire to keep a constant forward motion. This model also maintains a clean footprint by eliminating mud, snow, and rocks stuck between the tread elements.
Excellent surface contact helps to increase the tire’s steering responsiveness and overall driving stability. It boosts the tire’s accuracy to the driver’s commands, while also increasing the vehicle’s structural stability throughout the drive. Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
