The Nordman North 9 is a touring, winter tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
The model provides excellent high speed durability. The ideal tread design, the high performance compound, and the strengthened structure work together to optimize the tire’s high speed performance. This tread pattern evenly distributes the driving pressure along the tread area, while the compound is heat-resistant. These work together to actively resist heat build-up along the tread area. Excellent winter-weather traction is promoted with this tire. The winter compound and the ideal tread design work together to boost the cold temperature performance. The studded tread area, with the special siping pattern and the optimal tread block placement, improves the tire’s grip when driving on ice- and snow-covered road surfaces. This is achieved by providing additional biting edges. The compound keeps the tire pliable and maintains its rubber flexibility in freezing temperatures. The optimized grooves increase the water- and slush-dispersing ability and prevent hydroplaning.
The Nordman North 9 boosts its controllability. Exceptional road contact helps to improve its steering, stability, cornering, and braking. The stable V-shaped footprint maintains road contact to achieve this. As a result, faster and more precise steering responses are guaranteed, while the structure is stabilized against driving pressure as well. On the other hand, the optimized tread elements increase cornering and braking capabilities, further improving the driver’s control over the vehicle.
