OVERVIEW
The Tornel Astral is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tire enhances the all weather traction. The model combines the all season compound and the directional tread design to boost the dry, wet and winter weather grip. The stronger compound optimizes the rubber flexibility in versatile temperatures, increasing the summer and winter weather performance. The tread block pattern allows the tire to grip the road surface throughout the drive. The circumferential and angled lateral grooves prevent hydroplaning as they disperse water and slush from the footprint, greatly increasing the wet weather performance.
The directional tread design’s continuous center rib maintains the surface contact during the drive. The better surface contact improves the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In this manner, the tire is quicker and more precise in its response to the driver’s commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the tire. The shoulder block pattern improves the cornering capability. These blocks firmly grip the road surface with extra biting edges, enhancing the maneuvering ability.
The directional tread and the all season compound manage to ease the driving pressure off the tire, minimizing the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the pressure affecting the tire which determines the vehicle’s fuel intake needed to keep the tires in motion. Lessening the rolling resistance decreases the vehicle’s fuel consumption and CO2 emission levels, promoting a fuel efficient and environmentally friendly performance.
The Astral guarantees a comfortable drive. The computer-optimized pitch pattern and the stronger polyester casing work together to prevent road disturbances from ruining the passengers’ driving enjoyment. The tread design negates the sound waves generated while the tires are in motion, by creating a sound-cancelling frequency. Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
