OVERVIEW
The Toyo Proxes R1R is a performance and high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger and performance vehicles.
The tire offers excellent summer weather traction and road gripping ability. The unidirectional arrowhead tread design and the silica high-grip tire compound work together to ensure great dry and wet weather road gripping ability. They firmly grip the road surface in summer weather conditions and guarantee a safer driving experience. The tire, however, is not meant to be used in winter weather as the tire compound loses its traction in colder temperatures. The multi-width evac grooves and the tapered center block edge design enhance the hydroplaning resistance by eliminating water from below the tire footprint.
The model promotes great controllability. The tread designs multi-width evac grooves and the competition inspired casing enhance the steering responsiveness and driving stability. They increase the tires steering responsiveness and accuracy and stabilize the tire against the driving pressure affecting it. The silica compound and the stability block slits upgrade the tires high speed performance. They stabilize the block stiffness and prevent them from shifting, which boosts the acceleration and shortens the braking distance. The models cornering ability and power are also increased with the competition inspired casings radial construction that maintains road contact to ensure better cornering and maneuvering.
The tire provides a longer lasting tread life. The same stability control slits that improve the high speed performance with their block stiffness also prevent irregular tread wear from forming across the tread area. The tire avoids uneven wear by stabilizing the tread elements and evenly distributing the driving pressure across the tread area. The extended even tread increases the tires tread life and usability significantly and makes the model more cost efficient.
The Proxes R1R guarantees a comfortable, safe driving experience. The tires internal structure features Jointless Bead technology and slightly angles body plies. They work together to keep the tire on the wheels. They allow the tire to maintain constant road contact and to follow the road surface closely. This lowers the possibility of road vibrations from being felt in the vehicles cabin during the drive and ensure an enjoyable drive.
