OVERVIEW
The Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2 is a high performance summer tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
The tread design and the summer compound increase the model’s summer weather performance. The compound prevents heat build-up along the tread area, while the tread elements firmly grip the road surface in dry and wet weather. The tread design’s circumferential grooves actively prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the footprint. This combination guarantees a secure summer weather performance.
The model increases the controllability. The tread pattern upgrades and maintains the tire’s surface contact throughout its performance. In this manner, the asymmetric tread’s better road contact boosts the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The tire becomes faster and more accurate in its response to the driver’s commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The optimal shoulder pattern provides additional biting edges, which firmly grip the road surface to enhance the cornering and maneuvering capability. The reinforced internal structure keeps the ideal tire shape under the high speed driving pressure. This enables the tire to securely perform at its greatest high speed capability.
The Sport Maxx RT2 guarantees high driving comfort levels. The tread design’s Noise Shield technology prevents the formation of road and tread pattern noise during the drive. The tread design channels the airwaves through the footprint, without allowing their contact with the tread elements. As a result, the road and tread pattern noise is not generated and it ensures a quiet and comfortable driving experience.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
