The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV (*) is a high performance, summer tire made for SUVs. This specific tire is marked with (*) as it is the original equipment of BMW vehicles. This model is EV-Ready, meaning these tires are compatible with both electric and traditional vehicles.
This model uses the Active CornerGrip Technology and the racing compound to avoid heat build-up during high speed use. This technology helps to increase the tire’s contact with the road. The asymmetric tread pattern and the center ribs control the tire’s surface contact and, as a result, it upgrades steering responsiveness and driving stability. On the other hand, this tire offers better control during cornering, which enhances cornering capability. These technologies promote excellent performance for better control over the vehicle at all times.
The tire offers great summer weather traction. The advanced racing compound and the asymmetric tread pattern design work together to develop dry and wet weather grip on the road. The asymmetric tread pattern and the open tread zone cooperate to increase aquaplaning resistance, by channeling water from beneath the tire’s surface.The summer compound prevents heat build-up in hot weather conditions. This asymmetric tread design maximizes the road gripping capability and boosts safety in high speed situations.
The Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV (*) also improves the tread design, to ensure better comfort levels. The SoundComfort Technology upgrades the tread pattern to offer a quiet and comfortable ride. This technology helps to lower noise levels heard during the drive. Thanks to the asymmetric tread, road noise levels are reduced to a minimum while the tires are in motion.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
