The Goodyear Excellence ROF is a high performance summer tire manufactured for passenger and performance vehicles. The tire offers great summer weather traction thanks to the tire compound and the tread pattern that grips the road well in dry and wet weather. It is not recommended for winter use, as the tire compound loses its road gripping ability in the colder winter temperatures. The circumferential grooves increase the wet weather traction and actively avoid hydroplaning by eliminating water from below the tire footprint. In this manner, the tire is safer to use in all summer conditions. The model is a run flat version. Its reinforced sidewalls support the weight of the vehicle and the passengers for 50 miles up to the speed of 50 mph in case of air pressure loss, allowing the driver to safely arrive at a destination where they can fix or change the tires. Thanks to this, the driver will not be stranded on the side of the road with a flat tire. Run flat tires are made for vehicles that don’t have space for spare tires. They cannot be mixed with regular tires on the same vehicle, as their construction is heavier. The OE-tuned asymmetrical tread pattern increases the high speed durability and steering responsiveness. By maintaining constant road contact, the tire’s steering becomes quick and precise, allowing the driver to confidently control the tire in all summer conditions. The constant road contact also stabilizes the model against the external driving pressure. The high speed performing capability is also enhanced with the internal reinforced structure that prevents deformation. The tire keeps its optimal tire shape under the driving pressure and enables the tire to easily and safely perform at high speeds. The Excellence ROF’s asymmetric tread pattern improves the driving comfort levels. The tread’s superb traction closely follows the road surface and easily absorbs the remaining shock of driving. This reduces the road noise levels in the cabin of the vehicle and offers a comfortable and smooth driving experience.
