This model is the original equipment tire for select BMW vehicles. The tire ensures its excellent summer weather traction. Its special silica and carbon black mix tire compound and the asymmetric tread design work together to boost the dry and wet weather road gripping ability. The compound prevents heat build-up at high speeds, while the tread design with the lateral siping detail firmly grips the dry and wet weather road surface. The tread designs three circumferential grooves actively prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tires footprint. The model, however, is not suited for winter weather, as the compound and tread design are unable to provide traction on ice and snow.
