The Westlake SU318 H/T is an all season tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs. The passenger sizes are touring models, while the SUV ones are highway terrain models. Westlake offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with this tire model.
The tread design and the tire compound work together to ensure excellent all weather traction. The silica-enhanced compound and the detailed tread pattern increase the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The compound keeps its flexibility in colder temperatures as well, while the siping detail promotes biting edges that grip the road surface in all weather. The tread design’s circumferential grooves effectively disperse water and slush from below the tire’s footprint and prevent hydroplaning. This promotes a safer year round performance and driving experience.
The tread pattern and the internal structure increase the model’s controllability. The steel bead wire prevents deformation under the driving pressure, while the tread design’s longitudinal design maintains constant contact with the road surface.
